Our QuickBooks Time review
QuickBooks Time is the old TSheets, now part of Intuit. If your business already runs on QuickBooks Online, the appeal is obvious: hours flow straight into payroll and job costing without any exports.
The problem is price. Premium is a $20 monthly base fee plus about $10 per user, and Elite (which adds geofencing and mileage) is $40 plus about $12 per user, after Intuit raised per user prices in July 2026. You also need a QuickBooks Online subscription on top. For 20 staff that is over $200 a month just for clocking in.
The product itself is solid and mature. But many businesses that use QuickBooks get the same result with a cheaper time clock and a QuickBooks export, so it is worth comparing before you commit.

Looking for something simpler?
Timeclock.Kiwi was built by people who were fed up with time clocks that take three screens and a training session to use. Staff tap their name and a PIN on any tablet, a photo is taken in the background, and hours export straight to your payroll. You pay per kiosk, not per employee, from $5 a month.
Free for 3 months, no credit card required.
