Our Connecteam review
Connecteam is an "everything app" for deskless workers. The time clock lives in its Operations hub alongside scheduling, job tracking, checklists and forms, and there are separate hubs for communication and HR. The free Small Business plan covers up to 10 users and includes the kiosk.
The pricing model is one of the better ones out there for mid sized teams: paid plans charge a flat base price for the first 30 users (from $29 a month on Basic, billed yearly) and then a per user fee after that. Payroll integration is not available on the free plan, and geofencing starts on the Advanced plan.
Its strength is also its weakness. If your staff will use the chat, forms and training, Connecteam is good value. If you just want people to clock in and out, it is a lot of app to wade through for a simple job, and every extra module is another thing for managers to learn.
Pros
- Free for up to 10 users with the kiosk included
- Paid plans have a flat base fee covering the first 30 users, which is cheap for mid sized teams
- Strong mobile app with GPS and geofencing on the higher plans
- Lots of extra modules: chat, checklists, forms, training
Cons
- Payroll integration is not on the free plan
- Geofencing needs the Advanced plan or higher
- The app covers so much that a simple clock in is buried among other features
- Pricing jumps per user above 30 people on the higher plans

Looking for something simpler?
Timeclock.Kiwi was built by people who were fed up with time clocks that take three screens and a training session to use. Staff tap their name and a PIN on any tablet, a photo is taken in the background, and hours export straight to your payroll. You pay per kiosk, not per employee, from $5 a month.
Free for 3 months, no credit card required.
