5 out of 5 Reviewed November 1, 2026 by

A tablet kiosk time clock built to make clocking in take seconds, priced per kiosk instead of per employee.

Disclosure: this is our own product. We have tried to be as honest about its weaknesses as we are about everyone else's.

Best forBusinesses with a shared workplace (workshops, factories, warehouses, retail) that want a fast kiosk without paying for every staff member.

Our Timeclock.Kiwi review

Disclosure first: Timeclock.Kiwi is our product, so read this entry with that in mind. We have kept it in the list because leaving it out would make the list less complete, and we have tried to be as blunt about its gaps as we are about everyone else's.

Timeclock.Kiwi exists because the businesses we worked with were unhappy with what was on the market. Most time clocks are built as one feature of a bigger HR or scheduling suite, and it shows: clocking in takes several screens, managers need training to fix a missed punch, and the bill grows with every person you hire. We set out to build the opposite. The kiosk shows your staff, they tap their name, enter a PIN and they are done, with a photo taken in the background so buddy punching is easy to spot.

Pricing is per kiosk rather than per employee. One kiosk is $5 a month, and rosters are a flat $10 a month each with unlimited staff, so a 100 person workshop pays the same as a 10 person one. Timesheets export directly to Xero, QuickBooks, Gusto, ADP, MYOB, Paychex, Paylocity, iPayroll and a long list of others. There is also a mobile app with GPS checks for people who work off site, job and task tracking, and evacuation roll calls.

What it does not do: there is no fingerprint reader or NFC card hardware, because in our experience those cause more problems than they solve, and there is no built in payroll. If you need a full HR suite with payroll, look at Gusto or Rippling. If you want the fastest, cheapest way for a team to clock in on a shared device, this is what we built it for.

Pros

  • No per employee fees: $5 per kiosk per month and $10 per roster, whatever the headcount
  • Clocking in is a tap on your name and a PIN, with a photo taken on every punch
  • Runs on any Android or iOS tablet, so there is no proprietary hardware to buy
  • Mobile app with GPS and protection against faked locations for staff in the field
  • Direct payroll exports including Xero, QuickBooks, Gusto, ADP, MYOB, Paychex, Paylocity and iPayroll
  • Rostering, job and task tracking, and health and safety roll calls built in
  • 3 month free trial

Cons

  • No fingerprint or NFC card hardware, by design
  • No built in payroll, it exports to your payroll provider instead
  • A younger product than the big names, with a smaller ecosystem of add-ons
