Our Sling review
Sling is a simple, inexpensive scheduling app, now owned by Toast. Its free plan covers scheduling and messaging for up to 30 users.
Time tracking starts on the Premium plan (around $2 per user per month) with mobile clock in, labour cost and overtime tracking. A dedicated kiosk time clock needs the Business plan at around $4 per user per month.
It is good value for scheduling. As a time clock it is fine but basic, and the kiosk being on the top plan makes it less attractive for businesses that clock in on a shared tablet.
Pros
- Free scheduling for up to 30 users
- Cheap per user paid plans
- Labour cost and overtime tracking on Premium

Looking for something simpler?
Timeclock.Kiwi was built by people who were fed up with time clocks that take three screens and a training session to use. Staff tap their name and a PIN on any tablet, a photo is taken in the background, and hours export straight to your payroll. You pay per kiosk, not per employee, from $5 a month.
Free for 3 months, no credit card required.
